GCLS Meeting

Now moved to MHB Maker Studio, Monogram Embroidery is a weekly sewing program for those who want to try machine embroidery. Bring in your own handkerchief or bandana to the Mullica Hill Branch Maker Studio & learn to customize it.

Are you interested in discussing ideas openly and honestly with others? Logan Library offers a discussion group called "Socrates Cafe". Join us as we pose questions and exchange our thoughts on subjects selected by the group.

This month will focus on Summer Safety. We'll review different local water places and learn about heat and water safety. Sessions will be provided by Melodie Norton with Acenda Health. 

Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. This group can be for beginners or experienced quillers who can share their knowledge of the craft.

Come join us for this educational and interactive 10-part series, POP of Art. Local artist Loren Dann will educate attendees about the life and artwork of Thomas Sarceno. Those who attend will also create some art modeled using his unique style.

Mullica Hill Knitters & Stitchers Club. All skill levels are welcome to join. Please register since space may be limited.

Calling all fiber artists! Bring your project and come to trade tips and techniques, teach, or learn something new. Beginners and experienced fiber artists welcome; beginner materials available. This club meets every Tuesday from 1 to 3.

Have a fun time playing board games. A variety of games played each week. It's a great way to spend the afternoon. Hosted by volunteers Linda and Nancy.

Knit and Crochet Group

Get together and play Rummikub with other novices at the library! This is a friendly group, but some experience/knowledge of the game is a plus.

Get certified to use our MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer, and start your own Maker Movement today. Once you've completed this 1 hour course, you'll be able to reserve time to use our 3D Printers at any GCLS location.

Reserve a 1 hour slot to experience virtual reality on our HTC Vive 2. Patrons must be 13 years of age or older to use the virtual reality equipment and complete a Maker Agreement.

Writers of fiction and non-fiction are welcome to join and share their projects. Participants will be reading and discussing each others works.

Want to decorate your front porch or deck with a fun solar light?  Come to the library and make a terracotta pot solar light.  Space is limited.

Do you feel a little lost or left behind when it comes to computers? Build your confidence as we start at the beginning and take it slow, discussing how to use a modern Windows PC or laptop. 

Reserve a 2.5-hour time slot to use the silhouette and vinyl cutter in the Logan MakerStudio. NOTE: To use the silhouette and vinyl cutter you must first complete a certification course.

Learn to play historic tabletop war games from a local expert. Teens and Adults. Please register.

Join GCLS and Appel Farm Art and Music Center for a jewelry making workshop.  All supplies will be provide.
